Ingredients

  • 1 can crescent dough, uncooked
  • 1 cup apples, chopped into fine pieces
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp butter, softened
  • cinnamon sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a bowl, mix apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla extract, and brown sugar together. Set aside
  • Unroll the can of crescent dough, and seal the perforated edges of the dough until it makes one flat surface.
  • Spread softened butter over the crescent dough. Spread the apples over the dough in an even layer.
  • Fold the dough in half, so the dough makes a square (see in video above). Cut the dough into 8 strips.
  • Twist each strip until it forms a corkscrew spiral (this can be a bit messy). Place two strips of dough into each muffin tin (there will be 4 muffins total).
  • Sprinkle each muffin twist with cinnamon sugar.
  • Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Enjoy!
