- 1 can crescent dough, uncooked
- 1 cup apples, chopped into fine pieces
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter, softened
- cinnamon sugar for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a bowl, mix apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla extract, and brown sugar together. Set aside
Unroll the can of crescent dough, and seal the perforated edges of the dough until it makes one flat surface.
Spread softened butter over the crescent dough. Spread the apples over the dough in an even layer.
Fold the dough in half, so the dough makes a square (see in video above). Cut the dough into 8 strips.
Twist each strip until it forms a corkscrew spiral (this can be a bit messy). Place two strips of dough into each muffin tin (there will be 4 muffins total).
Sprinkle each muffin twist with cinnamon sugar.
Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until golden brown.
Enjoy!
