  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt or regular table salt
  • 1/2 tsp espresso powder, optional
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter until light and fluffy, about 30 seconds.
  3. Add in granulated sugar and brown sugar, and cream until combined.
  4. Add in the egg, and cream until combined. Add in baking soda and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix flour, salt, and espresso powder.
  6. Mix with wet ingredients.
  7. Once combined, add in chips. Stir.
  8. Scoop dough into 2" balls, and place on cookie sheet,
  9. Bake for 14-15 minute or until done.
