Skinny Strawberry Oreo Milkshakes: Thick, creamy, and full of delicious cookies ‘n cream flavor! In honor of National Strawberry Day, I decided to bring two classics together into a practically healthy, guilt-free treat!
June 14th is National Strawberry Day, which gave me the perfect excuse to create this delicious milkshake. Like my regular Skinny Strawberry Milkshake, this milkshake is guilt-free since its base is made out of frozen bananas.
Frozen bananas with a splash of milk has the same consistency as soft-serve ice cream. Who knew?!
Well, now you do too.
Anyway, after those amazing Double Chocolate Fudge Brownies, and eating all of the leftovers from my sister-in-law’s baby shower, which really wasn’t that hard when the leftovers are my favorite chocolate chip cookies and oreo truffle cupcakes, I decided to lighten up my dessert life with a skinny milkshake.
And let me tell you, it was a great decision. Sometimes you need something sweet that doesn’t leave you with regret or residual guilt.
As I mentioned earlier, these start with frozen bananas. Slice 1-2 bananas depending upon their size and freeze them. Once frozen, you put them into a food processor with a splash of milk, and cream it until it becomes this delicious soft-serve base. After that, you put in a little more milk, Oreo cookies, and strawberries.
That’s it. These shakes are incredibly easy to put together, which is just another added benefit to their skinny-ness!
- 2 large bananas, chopped and frozen
- 1/4 c plus 2 Tbsp almond milk (or any milk)
- 6-7 large strawberries
- 5-6 oreos, crushed
- In a food processor or heavy duty blender, cream the bananas and 2 Tbsp almond milk until the consistency of soft-serve.
- Add in 1/4 c milk, strawberries, and crushed oreos.
- Blend until smooth.
- Enjoy the greatness!
