I’m pretty positive chocolate and peanut butter is one of the best combinations in the world. If you don’t believe me, then you have to try my Chocolate Peanut Butter Oreo Cake. It will totally change your mind, because, well, Oreos, and of course peanut butter and chocolate.

There isn’t much in life I wouldn’t do for chocolate, and if it’s in a drinkable form (especially if it’s in the form of a Mocha Breakfast Smoothie!), I’m sold. Plus, it has peanut butter in it, so I’m pretty much a lost cause when it comes to this Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Milkshake.

It’s sweet and rich and between the peanut butter and banana, it’s full of protein. Yessss.

Unlike this amazing Chocolate Chip Cookie Peanut Butter Cream Pie, which probably has more calories than I want to know, this peanut butter banana chocolate milkshake is definitely on the healthier side.

It does not have any refined sugar in it, nor does it have any ice cream in the recipe. The sweetness comes from the frozen bananas and almond milk (and if you choose to get a little decadent and crazy like me, you could drizzle chocolate syrup around the cup 😉 ). You could add in a drizzle of honey as well if you were looking for something slightly sweeter.

Plus, you probably could get away with this for breakfast…

I mean, I wouldn’t tell if you had a little chocolate for breakfast. Your secret is safe with me (only if you promise not to tell anyone how much chocolate I eat…guys, this is two way street 😉 )

Ingredients

  • 2-3 large bananas, chopped and frozen
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp espresso powder
  • 1/8-1/4 cup milk, almond milk, or coconut milk (depend on how thick you want it)
  • Chocolate syrup to drizzle around the cup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients (except chocolate syrup) into a high-powered blender, and blend the ingredients until smooth.
  2. If desired, drizzle chocolate syrup around the inside of each cup. Divide the drink between the two cups.
